While the weather has been unreliable, the property market is experiencing the typical market fluctuations.
While the weather may have been unreliable thus far this summer, the property market at least is going through the traditional seasonal fluctuations we’ve come to expect. As is usual this time of year, Rightmove has reported a 0.9% dip in property prices coming to the market nationwide, with the latest RICS report predicting that the market will continue to stay flat into Q3 and 4.
It’s not all doom and gloom however, and while property prices aren’t growing, most property around the country is still outperforming the peak witnessed in 2007. Overall, the North West and West Midlands are the strongest performers nationally, with a monthly price increase of 0.9% and 0.8% respectively. London as a whole has experienced a 1.9% dip in property prices, yet Hackney, Bexley and Redbridge, all boroughs to the east of London have experienced price growth this month.
As the Bank Holiday fast approaches, we – perhaps optimistically - take a look at some of the top properties currently on the market with gardens that are perfect for barbecuing. Fingers crossed for some sunshine this weekend!
